Stand-Up Comedy: Rochester Invasion
Rochester, MN is known to many for its famous hospital and giant ear of corn in the sky. But there is also a storied standup comedy scene there with a history that spans decades. All kinds of comedy legends, along with future headliners, performed on the stage of the recently shuttered Goonie's Comedy Club.
But that space has been reborn and rebranded under new ownership as Prescribed Laughter Comedy Club and represents the enduring nature of the area's comedians. This Tuesday Gambit Brewing celebrates that resilience by giving a full lineup of their comics a new stage and new audience to showcase their jokes!
Join us as we welcome eleven of the Med City’s funniest standup comedians, from their new up-and-comers to the established headliners. It’s a FREE show so come on out & show them some St Paul love!!!

Forget the chocolate-covered strawberries. This Friday the 13th, we’re heading to Gambit Brewing for a Galentine’s night that’s a little bit "sweet" and a lot "crime scene." It’s time to embrace your inner unhinged Valentine and create some art worth dying for.
Think: Hearts, daggers, revenge, and inside jokes. We’re making handmade prints that say "I love you"... but in a way that might require an alibi.
The Investigation
This is a beginner-friendly, "no-clue-needed" workshop. We’ll guide you through the forensic art of designing, carving, and hand-printing your own murder-romance themed linocut stamp.

Headliner Sherlonda Sharp's quick wit, likeability, and rapport with audiences have made her popular at comedy clubs, corporate parties, and colleges across the country. Named one of Carolina’s Funniest Comics, her talent landed her a coveted spot in the prestigious Boston Comedy Festival. “Crowd favorite”, “Hilarious and likeable”, and “A natural” are some of the ways to describe Sherlonda’s engaging comedic style.

Laughs per Minute Stand-Up Comedy Battle

12 comics perform 5 minutes of their best material in front of a live crowd & panel of judges. Whoever gets the most laughs is the winner!
This unique standup comedy competition has been so well received by audiences at its previous run in Minneapolis we've decided to bring it across the river into the Saintly City!
Created by local comics and producers Spencer Schultz and Andrew Himmer (collectively known as Stand Up Killers), the Laughs Per Minute Battle features 12 Minnesota comics of varying experience levels, bringing their best 5 minutes of jokes for our live audience and panel of judges. Whoever can earn the hightest number of laughs per minute will be crowned the winner AND receive the $200 prize!!
