Jimmie Davis:
Jimmie is a Minnesota "nice" native. He began his career by honing his craft at local venues - Knuckle Heads Comedy Club in the early 1990s.
He would quickly venture out to perform at The Minnesota State Fair and various venues all over the Twin Cities.
He started Full of It Comedy Club in the late 1990s where he featured up and coming comedians in the area to help them hone their skills. Since then he has continued to perform his brand of hilarious comedy routines across the US.
OPENER FOR: Yoursie Thomas, Michael Prince, Deeray Davis, Alex Jackson and Mark Curry.
IMPERSONATIONS: DMX, Tupac, Bill Clinton, Andrew Dice Clay, Jesse Jackson, Dr. Phil, Judge Joe Brown, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Wolf Man Jack, Tone Loc + many more.
Khadijah Cooper:
Khadijah grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis as an only child. Working as a Sexuality Educator with teens, her confidence in public speaking coupled with her quick wit gave her all the fuel she needed to burst onto the comedy scene, quickly making her name known. In 2019 Khadijah was named Top 5 for Best Comedian in the Twin Cities by City Pages.
Her point of view as a mother, a Sexuality Educator, and someone who has the confidence and comfort in her skin makes her irresistible to laugh with and relate to.
FUNNIEST PERSON IN ST. PAUL CONTEST:
Before the two headliners, it’s Week 5 of the Gambit Brewing Company’s Funniest Person in St. Paul contest. The preliminary round will take place every Tuesday from June 25th-August 27th, spanning 10 weeks. Each week one winner will be voted for (by the audience, Gambit Brewing staff, the host, & the headliners) with the contest culminating in a finale on September 3rd, featuring all 10 winners from the prelims.
The winner will be crowned Funniest Person in St Paul AND get a paid spot in a Gambit Brewing comedy show on Friday, September 6th, with headliner & St Paul Comedy Fart-Star Jeff Pfoser! 2nd place will get a paid spot in a Freshly Squeezed Comedy Show & 3rd place will get a paid “Special Guest” spot in a future Gambit Brewing Stand Up Comedy Open Mic Night!
COMICS: Sign up weekly on Tuesdays from 8am-noon @ Linktr.ee/GambitBrewingOpenMic. There are 10 spots available each week. The list posts there & here at 1pm.
